HOT TUB INSTALLATION

You’ve picked your perfect model, thoughtfully designed your backyard, and chosen your accessories. Now comes the most exciting part: hot tub installation. Watch the video below to see what you might expect, and read our tips to see just how easy Jacuzzi® Hot Tub installation really is.
CHOOSE YOUR FOUNDATION
Creating the proper foundation is an important item to check off your to-do list before your hot tub arrives. Here are some options to consider.
Concrete: This is a common choice because it’s frequently already a part of a patio or yard design, and is also sturdy and long-lasting. If you have an existing concrete surface, just ensure it is level and is in good condition. You can also have a single slab of concrete poured into a custom foundation.
Deck: This can be a good spot to place your hot tub, since a deck is typically already level. Simply have it inspected before your hot tub is installed and be sure you have the proper supports. Most decks can hold a hot tub, but you want to be certain.
Spa pad: Prefabricated spa pads are one of the simplest solutions around, and they look great. All you need to do is clear a level area of grass and topsoil, then lay out the hot tub foundation pad (Check out Jacuzzi® Brand’s high-tech polyethylene spa pad for superior quality).
LEARN ABOUT ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING
Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs require 120 volt or 240 volt, depending on the spa’s size. The knowledgeable professionals at your local dealer can help you determine what you need.
Many people are surprised to learn that no plumbing is required in order to install a Jacuzzi® Hot Tub. Simply fill your spa with a garden hose and balance the water as necessary. Installing a hot tub is that easy.
PLAN FOR DELIVERY
While you’ll typically work out the details with your local dealer, there are some steps you can take to ensure hot tub delivery runs smoothly.
- Check the width of gates, doors, and sidewalks to ensure your spa will pass through unobstructed.
- Make sure the spa will fit around any 90° turns.
- Remove objects like plants or outdoor furniture that might hinder the delivery team.
- Consider overhead clearance: inspect your yard for low roof eaves, overhanging branches, or rain gutters.
When you follow these tips, you’ll be just as relaxed on delivery day as you will be in your new hot tub. Still have questions or not sure where to start? Find your local dealer here and chat about install ideas or watch the following video for inspiration.
